The University of Cape Town (UCT) remains the top university on the continent in this year’s World University Rankings published by Times Higher Education (THE) on Wednesday, 27 September.
The University of Cape Town remains the best university in Africa and has been ranked in the top 1.3% of universities in the world by the Center for World University Rankings.
UCT is ranked 15th in the world for Development Studies and is among the top 100 institutions for a further three subjects. This is according to the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject 2024, released on 10 April.
The UCT GSB’s MBA programme has been ranked number seven globally and number one in Africa in the 2024 Better World MBA ranking by ‘Corporate Knights’ magazine.
The UCT GSB reaffirmed its position as one of the world’s leading business schools, as its EMBA was named the top EMBA programme in Africa and 11th globally.
