Some of the top performers from the SACM who successfully auditioned to perform at this festival will play alongside the University of Cape Town Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Brandon Phillips.
UCT Symphony Orchestra performs the premiere of an overture titled “Ukuthwasa” composed by student composer James Geldenhuys. UCT’s Gerhard Joubert performs Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 and the concert ends with Brahms Symphony No. 3.
